Madhuri Dixit Nene is a Koknastha Chitpavan Brahmin  (caste).

Born and raised in Mumbai, Madhuri Dixit debuted in the movie Abodh in 1984 as an actress. From 1988 to 1999 she enjoyed super stardom with over fifty films to her credit.

She moved to Denver, USA in around 2003 to be with her husband Dr. Shriram Nene (also a Brahmin). But the Nene’s have since moved back to India in 2011 with movie production plans. We are very keen to see Madhuri back on TV and the big screen.

Over last 20+ years she has worked in blockbuster films such as Devdas, Pukar, Dil to Pagal Hai, Mohabbat, Hum Apke Hain Kaun among several others. She has worked with other co-stars like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Anil Kapoor & Sanjay Dutt among others.
